The DREAM Studio at Embracing Abilities is an educational program designed for your loved ones to develop, get ready to engage, aspire, and manifest their dreams.

Your loved one will work on enhancing their skill set through various projects, movements, games outings, and therapy programs.

Location: EA Clubhouse (51 County Road 671 East Avon, IN 46123)

Attendance Options

Part-Time & Full-Time Availability

Your loved one will have the ability to attend our DREAM Program as a part-time or full-time student.

 

Attendance Options Include:

  • Monday to Friday (Full-Time)
  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday (Part-Time)
  • Tuesday/Thursday (Part-Time)

 

*You are able to utilize your young adult’s waiver budget and hours for this program.

Your loved one will attend the DREAM Program 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. 

Throughout this time, your loved one will participate in a routine schedule with the goal of enhancing their dreams.

Registration Requirements

Registration Requirements:

All applicants must fit the following requirements in order to be eligible for the DREAM Studio.

  • Student must be within the age range of 18-40.
  • Student must live within driving distance of the Embracing Abilities Clubhouse (51 County Road 671 East Avon, IN 46123). Transportation is not provided by Embracing Abilities.
  • Student must meet all safety & success requirements.

Student Safety & Success:

Please review the following requirements prior to registration.

  • Consumer is appropriate for a 4:1 group setting ratio.
  • Consumer enjoys socializing and interacting with friends.
  • Consumer does not elope or show physical aggression.
  • Consumer is able to safely eat independently or with minimal assistance.
  • Consumer is able to toilet independently or with minimal assistance.
  • If student uses a wheelchair, we are unable to accommodate non-transfer or assist from slide board as a mode of transfer at this time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to attend all 5 days?

We have several attendance options. Students can attend Monday-Friday (full-time), or Monday-Wednesday-Friday (part-time), or Tuesday-Thursday (part-time).

Do you have private pay?

As this first enrollment is our pilot enrollment we are only billing the waiver. The waiver will be billed 6 hours per day 5 days per week for Day Hab Small Group 1:4 ratio.

Do you accept ESA (Indiana Education Scholarship Account)?

Yes, we are an approved program and are able to accept ESA. For more information on the application process, please visit the following link: https://www.in.gov/tos/inesa/. The application opens March 1.

I have other commitments during the week, can I arrive late or leave early?

Unfortunately we are not able to break down the day at this time. This is our pilot launch and we have staffing and participant numbers we must maintain to launch the program. As the program grows we might be able to accommodate other schedules but we cannot at this time.

What if we want our student to have therapy as well?

We will be offering Music and Recreational therapy groups within our program. More information will be coming out about those offerings.

What is the ratio of staffing?

Ratio of staffing is 1 staff to 4 students.

Do you provide lunch and snacks?

Due to allergies and food preferences the student will need to bring their lunch and snack daily. We do have a microwave and refrigerator available for lunch time.

Can we tour the facility?

We will offer tours on a scheduled basis.

How will transportation be provided on community outings?

Embracing Abilities has a 15 passenger van that will be utilized for community outings.

Could this program count towards their HS certificate?

We are not an accredited high school program so this would not count towards a certificate.

What is the age range for DREAM?

The current program enrollment age is 18-40.
